

Alyse Block
Alyse Block received her B.A. from Queens College with a double major in Speech and Language Pathology and Elementary Education. She received her M.A. in Speech and Language Pathology from Hofstra University. Additionally, she received a Professional Diploma and State Certification in Educational Administration and Supervision.
Alyse began her career working for the Department of Education as an Educational Evaluator and Teacher of Speech Improvement. Alyse has also worked as a Placement Officer and Supervisor of Speech Improvement for the Department of Education where she supervised 100 clinicians in numerous schools throughout the 5 boroughs. During her career at the DOE, Alyse also gained experience running impartial hearings. Additionally, Alyse has supervised undergraduate and graduate students at various universities throughout her career. Furthermore, Alyse has worked as a Speech and Language Pathologist in a hospital and has a private practice providing speech and language therapy to children and adults of all ages.
Alyse’s experiences throughout the years will assist parents in navigating the special education process to obtain appropriate educational services for their child.
